After watching Gina Rodriguez talk about the comments she received of "not being Latina enough" in an interview with HuffPost, I loved her 10x more than I already had. She was expressing how I felt deep inside. Better yet, she representing me through her platform on the media which is even more powerful.
This is something that I feel very passionate about because I know that I am not the only one who feels this way. Whether it's our appearance or in my case, lack of Spanish fluency, it seems as though there is always something/someone telling us our identity. I created this mini film in lieu of that. This is a step of being unapologetically me. Yo soy Latina.
Special shout out and thank you to my best friends for allowing me to interview them.
