Jessica Flores is multimedia journalist passionate about arts, culture, race & identity. She is a reporting intern at KPCC + LAist, and a reporter and copy editor for Dear Southside, a local community newspaper in South Los Angeles.
Her work has appeared in NPR’s Next Generation Radio, L.A. TACO, LA Weekly, USC Annenberg Media and mitú, among others.
She graduated with her master’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California and her bachelor’s from Mount Saint Mary’s University, L.A.
Born and raised in South L.A., she is passionate about finding stories that are overlooked in the media. On her free time she likes to shoot street photography and find new coffee shops to work in.
